Sourced from Madhya Pradesh; India; near the ancient quartzite caves of Bhimbetka and Daraki-Chattan Cupules; the soapstone used in our kit is some of the softest in the world; making it easy for kids to carve and create detailed sculptures. The kit includes everything kids need to create their masterpiece: a precut/semi-shaped soapstone; a safe-for-kids carving file; three types of sandpaper; environmentally friendly wax for polishing; a soft cloth; and a step-by-step instruction manual.

Carving with soapstone is a unique and natural experience compared to other carving kits; such as wood and pumpkin. The stone color varies from green to brown; reminding kids of their connection to Mother Nature.
